Hospital Visiting Hours
Visitors are encouraged to visit family and friends during their hospitalization. Each patient has different needs so we remain as flexible as possible about visiting policies. However, our main goal is to provide our patient with needed care, rest, and privacy for optimal healing.
General Visiting Etiquette
As a tobacco-free campus, visitors of Lakewood Health System patients may not use tobacco products anywhere in the building or on the grounds. In addition, visitors must dress appropriately and maintain a quiet environment. Visitors of patients in semi-private rooms should be considerate of both patients. Finally, we ask that people with colds, sore throats or any contagious diseases not visit patients.
New Mothers and Babies
This is a special time for families and we encourage you to share in this time. Remember that Mom needs to be feeling well and rested to enjoy your visit. For the protection of the newborns, visitors should be free from colds or infections.
Intensive/Coronary Care
Due to the critical nature of these patients, visiting hours are not limited. However, to ensure patients receive the rest necessary to optimize recovery, please limit visits to immediate family or significant others for short periods of time. Regardless of the hour, our nurses will keep you and your loved ones informed of the patient's condition and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
