Massage therapy is used for a wide variety of reasons. It can simply be for relaxation, or it can be an important part of a healthcare plan. Our therapists work with your individual needs to determine the style of massage best suited for you. All massages are done in a private, comfortable and professional manner.
Basic Massage Categories Offered:
- Swedish (relaxation) — A general, whole body massage that uses oils/lotions on the skin to facilitate treatment.
- Deep Tissue — Body work which goes below superficial connective tissue with the intent of breaking up old structural patterns and allowing the free flow of nutrients and oxygen in the blood.
- Stone Therapy -- Hot stone massage is a specialty massage that uses smooth, heated stones. They are often basalt, a black volcanic rock that absorbs and retains heat well. It is a deeply soothing, relaxing form of massage. The heat helps tight muscles release. Add a $5 charge to the regular massage rates for Stone Therapy.
We also offer specialized massages including prenatal, postpartum and post surgical.
With the many benefits massage offers, ask your doctor if massage might help with your current healthcare plan. It may be covered by some insurance carriers. Massage services are also available by appointment.
