Lakewood Health System offers a broad range of orthopedic surgery procedures performed by specialists in their fields. Some of the orthopedic surgery procedures offered include:
- Total joint replacement
- Repair or resection of torn cartilage (meniscus)
- Reconstruction of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL)
- Removal of inflamed lining (synovium)
- Repair of torn ligaments

Many of these procedures are performed by arthroscopic surgery, a surgical procedure in which the inside of the joint can be evaluated and treated using surgical instruments placed into the joint through small incisions (portals) measuring one centimeter or less (less than half an inch).
